Rebooting, Shutting Down, and Deleting Containers

You can easily reboot, shut down, or delete containers.

  • Rebooting a container stops and restarts it. Usually this only take a few minutes at most.
  • Shutting down a container stops it from running, but leaves it as-is in your Webslice Console and on your server.
  • Deleting a container permently removes it from your server and your Webslice Console.

Whichever option you want to take, start by opening the container’s main screen:

  1. In the Webslice Console, open Containers from the left-hand menu.
  2. Select the container you want to work with.
  3. Near the top of the screen you will see controls to Reboot, Shut Down, or Delete the container.

Whichever option you choose, you will be asked to confirm the action.
